Check.It has square section and tubular steel framing - great. Check. It has a bunch of various sized screw - bolts - great. Check. It also has 16 silver alloy machined fixings attached to the underside of the coated glass with GLUE - bad very bad. Screw bolts are screwed into these circular silver alloy fixings and as the bolts are tightened, without tightening very much, the threads of these bolts naturally pull downward on the threads of the machined alloy fixings. In turn pulling the fixing from the glass. If you're lucky you might get one where the GLUE actually holds. If it doesn't you can either buy some loctite super glue and persevere or send it back for a full refund. You could send it back for a replacement and take a chance that you won't go through the same crap again but the best option is not to buy this desk. Amazon should send their existing stock back to the manufacturer. This actually... "HOW WRONG WAS I" the table like the rest of the comments was hard to put together, what i mean by this is the screw holes were mostly slightly off centre which caused a headache when trying to put together. then after about 24hrs i heard a snapping noise this was the silver disc's comming away from the glass panels not one or two but eight in all the first to go was the keyboard shelf, any way to cut a long story short i contacted Amazon's customer services and spoke to a nice American chap in Portugal, after trying to explain what the issue was they have sent me a replacement now at this point i would like to stress that Amazon are brilliant i can not fault them, however the replacement table is starting to do the same thing! now either there is a fault with the manufacturing process or a problem with me (ie) how tight i am fixing the shelves/screws, looking at the... Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Looks good, but poor build quality, By This review is from: Levv Glass Computer Trolley Desk - Black (Office Product) Assembly instructions very good and easy to follow, assembly takes approx 30mins after unpacking, however within about 1 hour I heard a crack and noticed one of the glass placement holders had come away, after 2 hours two more have come away, also the very top shelf is tilted at a slight angle and I feel if you put anything of any weight on it will cause two more of the placement holders to come away as the shelf is not level. I don't know if this is just a bad batch, but it seems the bonding to hold the placement holders is not strong enough. I can't even contemplate what will happen if you try to wheel the desk out with any weight on it. |
